Six Years Strong: Calle PH

2015 marks the 6th year of Calle Skateshop's strong roots in the underground realm, both skate and fixed-gear. Calle has built an operation that continues to attract both the old and the young in the street scene, slowly but surely building it up through social media with patrons much like a cult following. For four years, Calle has been holding down alleycat races alongside their annual Game of Skate series. And for the second year in a row, has been made more intense with the addition of Chrome Coveted Jersey. In a surprising turn of events, the major players were out of sight and Darius Dizon took the win with a sprint and bagged the Chrome Coveted Jersey. This time around, they upped the ante of the competition with the addition of a second Chrome Coveted Jersey, awarded to the fastest lady rider in town. Macy Atangan, who finished well before her competitors, took home the first-ever Chrome Coveted Jersey for the ladies. At the end of the day, everybody wins as another awesome party ensued as always. Skate, bikes, and beer; what more can you ask for? After all, there's no sense in doing things if it ain't fun. Words by Aaron Pugal, Photos by Lance Manuel
